Pound Puppy Animal Rescue offers animals for adoption to only owners who accept these terms and conditions.
Pound Puppy Animal Rescue reserves the right to remove a dog if it is convinced that the owner has violated a term or condition. |
The Dog's Health
There is no guarantee that the dog is or will be free of disease or behavioural disorders. Pound Puppy Animal Rescue makes every effort to confirm that a dog is healthy and socially acceptable before homing it. We cannot, however, exclude the possibility of a lurking disorder in a particular animal. |
The dog will be fed, watered, and maintained in good condition. If the dog appears ill or injured the owner must take timely advice from a qualified veterinary surgeon, at the owner's expense. |
The owner will pay for the dog to be rendered infertile. Adult dogs that are potentially fertile at the time of adoption must be sterilised immediately, subject to veterinary advice. Male puppies must be neutered before six months of age, females three months after their first season, subject to veterinary advice. |
The dog will always wear an identity tag. Microchipping is also recommended but not as a substitute for a collar tag. |
Every change of the owner's address will be reported to Pound Puppy Animal Rescue. |
Any representative of Pound Puppy Animal Rescue will, at any reasonable time, be granted the access necessary to inspect the dog and his home. |
If, for any reason, the dog has to be given up, it will be returned to Pound Puppy Animal Rescue. |
All monies received are used for the upkeep of our animals. We are therefore not in a position to refund donations. The owner will treat donations as irreversible. |
The owner will notify Pound Puppy Animal Rescue immediately if a dog should become sick (e.g. diarrhoea) within two weeks of adoption. Pound Puppy Animal Rescue needs to have the animal inspected by one if its own vets, and must discover whether a sick dog could have infected other dogs in its care. As always, if you're in any doubt about the dog, call us. |
The owner will take the dog to a minimum of six training classes. |
